La Pubilla

La Pubilla is a small restaurant near Casa Vicens that serves traditional Catalan home cooking. The menú del día has three courses—starter, main and dessert—with three choices per course, including dishes such as artichokes, grilled monkfish, croquettes and beef cannelloni. Lunch starts around 1 p.m., and the room fills as soon as it opens, so without a reservation you are seated at the bar or asked to wait. Portions are small for some menu items and the food is on the salty side.
