The World Federal Peace Statue stands near the Otemon entrance of Osaka Castle Park. Sculptor Kitamura Seibo made the bronze statue, which shares its creator with the Nagasaki Peace Memorial Statue and expresses the wish for a world federation without war and for permanent peace through a dynamic pose. A plaque beside it bears text dated October 11, 1973, calling for people to join forces to realize a world federation. That vision has not been achieved, which makes its placement at the entrance to Osaka Castle Park feel out of place.
