Geunpo Village Tunnel

Geunpo Village Ttanggul is a tunnel in the seaside area behind Geunpo Village in Nambu-myeon, Geoje, begun during the Japanese colonial period as a gun emplacement. People come here to photograph silhouettes against the sea and to take shadow photos inside the tunnel, then walk to the small sandy beach in front. Visitors park for free near the village hall and walk along the road, keeping photo sessions under three minutes for those waiting behind and using the shaded areas. On weekends and at late hours the photo line grows long, which means waiting in the midsummer sun.
