Wanchai MTR Exit D opens onto a shopping area with European-style restaurants and a bakery at the entrance, leading down to an underground mall. Local stir-fried dishes and cha chaan teng restaurants are nearby, and the exit connects to Hennessy Road and Amoy Street. The route toward Li Tung Street is air-conditioned, making it cooler than street level, and it passes shops and restaurants. Wan Chai is one of Hong Kong's crowded shopping districts and MTR stations, but it is not heavily crowded as a meeting point.
