Peaceful Unification Sarira Pagoda Temple sits along the main road toward Hamdeok Beach in Jeju, with a parking lot on site. Its Unification Sarira Pagoda resembles a Southern Buddhist stupa, and the grounds include a 33m sarira pagoda hall, a view of the sea, and walking paths around the pagoda. The groundbreaking ceremony for the sarira pagoda was held on the tenth day of the tenth lunar month in 1988, and the main gate faces the Cheonji crater of Baekdusan. The inside of the sarira pagoda is not open for viewing.
