Haneul Theater is located at the National Theater on the slopes of Namsan in Seoul, and stages changgeuk, madangnori, Korean orchestra and fusion performances, and concerts. Its circular stage and stepped seating on all four sides bring the audience close enough to see the performers' expressions and movements. The hall is not large, and the spacing between rows gives room to focus on the performance. There are few cafes and restaurants, so seats for coffee are scarce when performances overlap.
