Agam-shū's head temple, Shakasan Daihōrin-ji, sits in the mountains above Keage Station in Kyoto, reached by an uphill road. It has a main hall and a quiet Zen garden. On the 16th of each month it holds a memorial rite for ancestors, and on February 11 each year it holds a star festival and a large fire ritual. Opening hours are not published, so the gate and some areas are sometimes closed.
