Old-Fashioned Kimchi Jjigae Restaurant

Old Kimchi Stew Specialty Store is a Korean restaurant next to Gongdeok Elementary School in Gongdeok-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, serving kimchi stew and jeyuk bokkeum. Its saenggogi kimchi stew contains generous pieces of pork and is eaten with the broth reduced down as it boils. A fried egg comes with the kimchi stew at no extra charge, and kimchi jeon is another commonly ordered menu item. The dining room is loud enough that conversation during a meal is difficult.
