Nemuro Hanamaru Standing Sushi Bar Yaesu is in the basement of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu by Tokyo Station, where sushi is eaten standing at the counter. Sushi such as medium-fatty bluefin tuna, soy-marinated salmon roe, and sea urchin is pressed in front of you, and orders are written on a counter slip and handed over. On weekend afternoons the wait is 5 to 10 minutes, and around 11:30 a.m. on Fridays there have been cases of entering with no wait. When the shop fills up, the sushi is served quickly and may not be pressed with care.
