Asakinu is near Karasuma Oike Station in Kyoto and serves seafood dishes and fish-centered lunch and dinner. At lunch there are three choices: Asakinu gozen, negitoro don, and seafood rice bowl, and the gozen comes with hoe, fried fish, rolled egg, tofu, rice, and miso soup. The shop has only about ten seats at a U-shaped counter, and there are cases of waiting about fifteen minutes after the 11:30 opening to get in. Payment is made in cash when ordering, and the shop is at the back of the first floor of the building, making the entrance hard to find, with the space itself also small.
