Ppongsyup is a Chinese restaurant in Seoul that serves jjajangmyeon and jjamppong, and it draws families as well as customers eating or drinking alone. The jjajangmyeon is chewy and clean, the special jjamppong contains seafood, and the cold jjamppong is served like hoe. The food leans plain rather than seasoned with MSG, and the salt level of the jjamppong and jjajangmyeon is not strong. The broth of the jjamppong and white jjamppong is not deep, and the smoky wok flavor and spiciness are mild.
