Seongsan Ilchulbong is a 182-meter volcanic landmark rising at the tip of the Seongsan peninsula on the east coast of Jeju. Its large bowl-shaped crater is ringed by 99 rock peaks, which is why it is known as a sunrise spot. A paid trail with well-built stairs leads to the summit, and free walking paths run around the area. Inside the crater is a 129,774-square-meter field of grass.
