The Swedish Participation Monument in Busan stands near Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch and Lotte Hotel in Bujeon-dong. It honors the Swedish medical support unit that served in the Korean War under United Nations Command. The unit arrived at Busan Port on September 23, 1950, and treated UN and Korean wounded and provided civilian medical relief until the war ended. The Swedish hospital Seojeon Byeongwon once stood beside the monument, and Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch and Lotte Hotel now occupy that site.
