Saenggakboda Matinneun Jip

Saenggakboda Matinneun Jip is a restaurant in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, near the entrance of Jungang Market about 150 meters up from Seoul National University Station Exit 6. It serves bajirak kalguksu, pat kalguksu, sae-al patjuk, and kongguksu, with the bajirak kalguksu containing many clams and a clean-tasting broth, and the kongguksu made with thick soybean broth and unusual noodles. Since opening in 2000, it has had seating on the first floor and in the basement with small tables that make it easy to order alone. Portions are on the large side, but the prices are high for noodles.
