Jōkyō-ji is a Jōdo-shū temple located near Kyoto's downtown. It shares a building with Mitsui Garden Hotel, and its main hall sits on the hotel's first floor, enshrining Amida Nyorai. The temple was moved to its current site in 1591, and the main hall holds a seated statue of Taira no Shigemori, with his monument in the grounds. The buildings' deterioration makes upkeep difficult.
