PECK

PECK is a bakery selling Italian-style bread and deli items, connected directly to the basement floor of Kyoto Takashimaya and Hankyu Kyoto Kawaramachi Station. The selection includes canolo, ciabatta, panettone, orange peel danish bread, and fig and walnut campagne. On rainy evenings a special set is offered, and purchases are made face-to-face by stating the product name at the register. Service can be uncomfortable, and when only one staff member is working the wait line grows long.
