Apgujeong Gongju Tteok

Apgujeong Gongju Tteok is a rice cake shop in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a five-minute walk from Apgujeong Station. Its signature item is glutinous rice cake coated so heavily in black sesame powder that the powder appears to outnumber the rice cake. The shop is takeout only, so the order line moves quickly, and on holidays it has sold only black sesame rice cake. Prices are higher than at typical rice cake shops.
